Accessible Outdoor Experiences
Rough and Ready Botanical Wayside
Located near Cave Junction, the Rough and Ready Botanical Wayside offers an opportunity to experience one of the Illinois Valley’s distinctive natural landscapes.
Improvements to the site include a widened and flattened pathway designed to improve access for visitors using wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
Rough and Ready Botanical Wayside
Just south of Cave Junction, Rough and Ready Botanical Wayside offers visitors an opportunity to experience one of the Illinois Valley’s distinctive botanical landscapes. Accessibility improvements include a widened, more level pathway designed to make the site easier to experience for visitors using wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
Accessibility conditions in outdoor areas can change due to weather, maintenance, and natural conditions. Visitors may wish to confirm current conditions before traveling.

Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve
The Oregon Caves are one of the Illinois Valley’s best-known destinations, but the historic setting, terrain, and cave environment can present accessibility challenges.
